Hi my lovelies,
What is fashion without some fusion? And, don’t we all love to try on different looks to get rid of the same old boring look. I personally love trying out new styles as long as they speak my personality. One such style as you all know by now, would be an Indo-western look. It keeps me close to my style and lets me stay up to the present fashion trend. Getting the Indo-western look can be done in many ways. Various elements such as accessories, prints, footwear or even the garment itself can add a touch of western to your otherwise indian look.
For today's post I have collaborated with Saritha Reddy Studio to show how one outfit can wear in 3 different ways with little tweaks and bring the Indo-western style in you.
So according to the title, Let’s talk about the play with Palazzo pants. It’s important to balance palazzo pants with structure and shape on top. Because they’re flowy and wide on the bottom it’s important to stay fitted and short up top, otherwise you’ll look out of balance.
Here are my 3 options:
1. Asymmetric Kurtha with Palazzo pants (original outfit)
The easiest way to take an ethnic turn with palazzo trousers is to wear them with long kurtas. If you’re bored of wearing leggings and chudidhars with all the traditional gear then this pairing is a much needed breath of fresh air. Swap out those fitted shapes for comfier palazzo trousers and give the outfit an instant style upgrade. You can also afford to go for bolder and higher side slits on the kurta when wearing it with palazzo trousers to really show them off. Keep in mind that the long kurta must be well fitted to avoid looking like you’re wearing a shapeless sack.
2. Croptop with Palazzo
Fitted crop tops/ tucked shirts are another option that can still be easily worn with palazzo trousers. In fact they’re the most common way of sport palazzo trousers because of the balance of proportions that works for all body types. These styles will make your waistline look thinner and also for the shorties, its a easy mimic to look taller. Add heels to complete the look but make sure pant length covers the heel height.
3. Asymmetric kurtha with Statement footwear
Make it simple yet statement by adding footwear and accessories will enlighten the drama in any casual kurtha.
Let the pictures speak a million words <3
