Winter Favorites Part 2: The Makeup Products

Hello Sugarplums! Hope you all having wonderful holiday season.

Those of you that have been around for a while now probably know that I have a little obsession with makeup mainly decorating eyes. I keep it on the down-low for the most part because clothing and jewelry fashion has always be my main squeeze. That’s what I started this blog and it’s what the vast majority of my posts are about. But every now and then I like to mix it up a bit and share other things that I love. I think you guys like a bit of variety too, so today I want to share my favorite makeup products. I’ve actually had a lot of requests for this and I’ve been waiting to do this post for weeks now, but I never got around to it. Well the day has finally come and I’m really excited to chat about fun girly things. The products I’m sharing today have been in my makeup bag for a long time and they’re all things I absolutely love and use on a regular basis!

I have drawers full of makeup products, but I can count my tried and true products on one hand. There are so many options out there and I love testing out new makeup and colors, often switching up my routine, but at the end of the day, I keep going back to what works best for me. I like to keep my beauty look simple yet with dramatic eyes, opting for a little bit of color on my lips, cheeks and eyes. I often get questions from people asking what makeup products I’m wearing and a majority of the time, it’s these products.

Winter can be a rough season on your skin. We often talk about the sun exposure that summer brings, but what about the dryness of winter?

With change in temps, some beauty specialists often recommend to change in their make up products to more creamy based ones. I don't disagree but why do we have to change our favorite products routine every season. It used to be, that every winter my skin would become dry and lose its luster. Not anymore! Here is a solution based on my experience. Just add one secret product before moisturizer and voila, bye bye to dry skin and cakey makeups.

As we hit the peak of winter, it’s time we embraced the dark hues, warm glows and that flawless foundation look. After all, who could pass up a statement eye, especially when it lasts till the end of the day. Fortunately, it’s the time of year when you literally have any excuse to get your glitter on and not have to explain yourself. And it’s not just that it’s the holidays season, glitter is actually massively trending right now. Who doesn’t love to wear glitter when the opportunity presents itself? so get yourself glittered up.

Lets get in to my favorite products. Some of them are pricy so, I will try to give you alternate drugstore options. I am not a professional make up artist so bare with me. There will be tons of options but below are the products I tried and liked.
