If you keep up with me on Instagram you know that I was in Cancun last weekend. It was my very first trip to Mexico and it was just a dreammm.. the place was so beautiful and the people were so warm and kind.
Before we ever planned this vacation, My husband went into full-fledged research mode. He is a researcher when it comes to trips, probably more than me when it comes to me planning parties. But his analysis always pays off. We finalized to go to the all-inclusive route and decided upon the Hyatt Zilara all inclusive adult only resort in Cancun. After reading many positive reviews, that’s where we decided to hang our hat, and I’m so glad we did. We loved it! it was an amazing experience. We took ocean view suite that had a king size bed, a hot tub, and a breathtaking view of the ocean which I highly recommend if you ever plan to stay in any of the Cancun resorts.
I had never been to Cancun before, and honestly it was not in my top list of places to go but it turned out to be one of the best beach vacation decision we ever made. First look at the crystal clear, neon-turquoise waters and sinking my toes in the pure white, velvet, pillow soft sands I fell in love with the place.
The best thing about staying in an all-inclusive resort is that food and drink are included. Leave your wallet in the room safe and roam around the resort eating and drinking until your heart and belly are content. There will be a buffet open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and some more options for fine dine in. We had our lunch at Spice buffet where they were serving Asian that day. Everyday they serve different cuisines.
One of the days in our stay, we visited Isla Mujeres which is called an island paradise. Isla Mujeres is found in a short ferry ride from Cancun. The island is a laid-back village with full of colorful buildings, surrounded by crystal clear waters, and a place where the primary method of transportation is a golf cart. So we rented a golf cart and roamed around the island. The local shops, food, the people represents the Mexican nativity to the core. We made couple of stops to see some attractions during our island hopping.
My husband and me married for 5 years but I should say this, he never failed to surprise me in a given chance. I was under the impression that we were on a leisure vacation but he made it as a memorable one for me. He surprised me with a beachy romantic moonlight dinner and the special note here is, the food is completely customized vegetarian dishes. Yes, I am a vegetarian and for special dinners it was always hard for us to find veg dishes on the menu. But he made it possible this time and gained extra points :-p.
I am not a water sport person because I feel I am an aqua phobic and never entertain my husband to pick water games in our trips. But the water scooter ride attracted me this time where the head will be completely covered in glass bubble and there is no scope for water to get in because of the way they are designed. So we went in a ferry, deep in to the ocean where we can literally see the sand which is 25 miles deep under. It was again another best decision I made to get down there and experience thousands of live fishes moving around us. I always thought that there is nothing special seeing live fishes in aquarium than in underwater. I was wrong, the beauty of underwater life is amazing. Everything is naturally formed and to embrace the beauty of it, one can only be experienced with the naked eye.
When we are looking for the best nightlife in Cancun, some of our friends suggested Coco Bongo should definitely be on list. Cancun’s best and most famous nightclub is known for an over-the-top acrobatics show and celebrity impersonators. Coco Bongo is a club, a cabaret show, a concert and a little bit of Cirque du Soleil all with a Las Vegas style! where neon lasers, confetti from the ceiling, and exotic dancers keep this place with high enegry and happening.
Thanks for reading loves <3. Do plan your trip to cancun, the soon the better ;-)
