My 5th Engagement Anniversary!!

Hello my sugarplums!

I am so excited to share with you some photos from our 5th engagement anniversary celebrations happened last month! I know 5th engagement anniversary (surprised)!!! overrrr dramatic (rolling eyes), well I am a believer of good fortunes happens for a reason and we should respect and celebrate them. It was beyond perfect and exceeded every expectation I had:’) It was such a beautiful evening with family and friends celebrating our anniversary as a cocktail event.

I want to do an outdoor party because the theme I brainstormed from several months will only work for outdoors. So, it was little challenging with the weather that month which I had to change the initially planned date to another date because of the rains during that time and unavailability of the outdoor spaces. One of my lovely friend offered her backyard, very kind of her but yes, their backyard was exceptionally perfect for the Moroccan style decorations I imagined. I rented 2 cabanas and got them decorated one for boys to have hookah bar and a mehendi/nailart for girls under another roof. I choose colorful umbrellas, drapes, lanterns and pillows to elevate the beautiful green backyard. I also rented dance floor for 'tappa tappa' and opted the grand gold pillared backdrop which was magniloquent. The walk way was garnished with small golden pillars and umbrellas. I worked with Anupama at Frenzy Beats Event Planners on all the deets! She was very friendly and her attention to details blew me away after seeing the completed version of decorations! I talked her through my ideas, sent her some pinterest inspo, provided a ballpark budget, and she really hit the ground running to handle it all!

Coming to cocktails, my husband took care of all the makers and shakers and he went little fancy with the cocktail names. Well he is a big fan of Game of thrones and there he was unstoppable so the names of the drinks are straight from north of the wall to kings landing. We hired a bartender and she did complete justice to the dragon drinks.

This time we wanted boys to be the center of drama so girls took the responsibility of getting a perfect outfit for guys with floral detailing in different colors and designs. It worked absolute perfect as they were blushing and flaunting in their colorful outfits. It was a visual treat for girls as they stood out exceptionally handsome.

As you all might know by now, I am a big designer freak. So as expected I indulged myself with neon green, which was designed by a south Indian wedding designer Divya Reddy and she made no mistake to astonish me. The detailing with little beads, stones and pearls were finely placed with attention. All the girls were requested to illuminate the event with colorful outfits and all were extremely outstanding and graciously beautiful.

All these took shape because of my husband and our lovely friends who helped us throughout by making an impossible mission possible. and as you scroll down the pictures speaks million bucks for that thanks to Vasista (red pictography) for bringing life to my event.

Our return gifts are little conceptual with DIY cocktail glasses monogrammed with their names and mini shot bottles wrapped in colorful boxes.

Thanks for reading <3

XOXO <3 u all :-*
